I manage and write our daily content, including relevant and interesting blogs about the English language and its surrounding controversies, the Word of the Day, the Quote of the Day, and our social media posts.

The Rumpus

I scout out potential books to be reviewed, edit reviews and interviews from our long list of contributors, and use WordPress to update the web site with over fifteen reviews a month. I also help select the titles for our popular monthly book club.

Women Inside
Voices of Witness, 2011
This book will present the narratives of incarcerated women throughout the United States who have suffered abuses in prison. I will travel to the California Women’s Prison to conduct three interviews with inmates, as well as research the appendices. Edited by Ayelet Waldman.

Chronicle Books, 2010
A collaboration between Mark Dion and the Oakland Museum of California, this book collects essays from museum and collection experts, such as Marjorie Schwarzer and Lawrence Weschler. I contributed essays on the Panama-Pacific International Exhibition and the architecture of the museum. I also edited Rebecca Solnit's essay in the book and acquired photographs.

This anthology chronicles the current financial collapse through a retrospective of journalism and scholarship surrounding other crises. I acquired the reprint permissions for more than fifty articles from right’s holders ranging from Joseph Stiglitz to Conde Nast and the New York Times.

Atlas Obscura

For Atlas Obscura, an online compendium of this age’s wonders, curiosities and esoterica, I develop new content, research stubs submitted by users, and regularly update the blog. Additionally, as part of the P.R. team, I have been responsible for event promotion in the blogosphere for our annual International Obscura Day that orchestrates events in over 70 cities involving over 4,000 participants.

Freelance Editorial Assistant

I work on the monthly serial, The Believer: fact-checking, proofreading, and copyediting. I also contribute to the book-publish- ing arm of the company, copyediting Best American Non-Required Reading 2009, The Autobiographer’s Handbook, and a short tribute to Tobias Wolff, among other responsibilities.
